Power & Desalination Plant Services in KSA

Power and desalination plants combine high-temperature steam joints with huge seawater lines, all under pressure to return to service quickly. We bolt, machine and test those joints during planned outages.

Power & Desalination

Joint services for power and water plants

Utility plants on the Gulf and Red Sea coasts run turbine casings, boiler feed lines, seawater intakes, brine lines and large product water pipes. Seawater service corrodes fasteners and flange faces, while lined and coated flanges need a carefully limited bolt load.

We calculate bolt loads within the limits of linings and gaskets, replace corroded fasteners after seized nut removal, and repair damaged faces with flange facing. Worn bores and mounting faces on pumps and turbines can be restored by on-site machining.

After repairs, systems are hydrotested and joints recorded, so the plant returns to service with evidence of what was done.

Common problems

Utility joint problems we solve

Issues we often fix in power and water plants.

01

Damaged linings on seawater flanges

Bolt load set within lining limits and tightened evenly to protect the lining.

02

Corroded fasteners

Nuts split without heat and replaced with coated fasteners.

03

Worn pump bores

Bores restored in place by portable line boring.

FAQ

Power and desalination plant services in KSA: common questions

How do you bolt lined flanges?

We calculate a bolt load within the lining and gasket limits and tighten evenly in passes so the lining is not crushed.

Can you work within short outage windows?

Yes. We plan tools, crews and joint lists before the outage so work starts on the first shift.

Do you machine pump parts on site?

Yes. Our on-site machining team can line bore, mill and face pump parts in place.
